SUMMER CAMPS 2016
Form a band and perform live!
2016 marks the 11th summer of camps at Rock’n Music. Over the years we have developed a unique summer camp program that gives students the opportunity to take their playing to the next level through a combination of technique and theory master classes, group rehearsals, and live performance.
JULY 11th – 15th 90’s and Punk Rock
Students will learn and rehearse songs by 90’s and punk rock artists such as Green Day, Nirvana, Weezer, Foo Fighters, and The Ramones. The week culminates with a live concert!
JULY 25th – 29th Classic Rock
This week covers music by classic rock artists such as Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Rush, The Who, The Rolling Stones, and The Beatles. The week culminates with a live concert!
August 8th – 12th Pop Rock
Pop rock week covers current music by artists such as Fall Out Boy, Taylor Swift, 5 Seconds of Summer, Imagine Dragons, Bruno Mars, Maroon 5, and Adele. The week culminates with a live concert!
August 22nd – 26th Jazz & Blues
Students will learn and rehearse jazz standards as well as blues songs by artists such as B.B. King, Muddy Waters, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Robert Johnson. The week culminates with a live concert! Recommended for intermediate-advanced levels.
CAMP DETAILS:
- All camps are Monday-Friday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and open to guitar, bass, drum, keyboard, and vocal students ages 7-17. The live concert is held on the Friday evening of each camp. Lunch is provided each day for all students. There is limited availability for all camps. Enroll in advance to ensure a spot in your preferred week!
