BRENT BERGHOLM- guitar & bass

Brent has been teaching music for nearly 10 years. He has been playing music since he was 9 years old starting on piano and then switching to guitar when he was 13. Brent graduated from Ramapo College of New Jersey in 2007 with a contract major of music and business. He strives to help his students not only with musical abilities but also with a business mentality that is necessary for any emerging talent.

His instruction ranges from beginner to advanced with guitar, bass, banjo, and mandolin. Any student can expect a heavy focus of theory, technique, and appreciation of all musical types. Many of Brents students have gone on to form their own bands and make moves in the music industry.

He is also an avid performer, having toured and played festivals with an attendance of up to 10,0000 people in the United States, Canada, China, and Taiwan. He has opened up for many national acts like The Sonics, The Detroit Cobras, Yellowcard, The Super Suckers, and many more. His band "The Hsu-nami" had a song that was the opening theme for the Chinese Basketball team at the 2007 Beijing Summer Olympics.

In 2014 he also won "Top Guitarist" at the Asbury Park Music Awards.  His band, "The Battery Electric", also went on to win "Song of the Year", "Top Rock Band", "Top Vocalist", and "Top Bassist".
